Music is finished!! Things are getting closer to my book release and some special announcements. Online book launch party, giveaways and more to come. So so excited. I know some of you are anxiously waiting. As soon as I lock in a date for my book signing you will be the first to know. The songs I recently recorded are songs I wrote the music and lyrics to and I can’t wait to share with all of you. I hope everyone enjoys what I created. Three songs will be included with the book. Songs to hopefully inspire and encourage you to chase after your dreams. I recorded these songs at a small home studio near Nashville, and worked with some very talented people to bring my vision to life. I owe a big thank-you to Greywolf studio, for making my dreams possible and for always encouraging and supporting me. Many thanks to James and Tecia Hedden!! Also a special thanks to Lonnie Spiker for lending his very talented voice on one of my songs. Thank-you all!!
The first song of three, featured in “Skyla’s Hat Adventure” is a song I wrote titled, “Put on a Hat”. This song is a fun, light, upbeat song that will leave each child imagining all the things they can do in life. They may grow up and be a astronaut, a cop a dancer, a singer etc. It is an encouraging, uplifting, and a fun song that will get you dancing, singing, and clapping along.
I finished up my vocals today for my songs. There will be a total of three songs featured with the first book. The recording process is always exciting to go through. To see a song on paper turn into music is truly just an amazing process. I love seeing how lyrics on paper can turn into something great. Each song is an inspirational song that will encourage you to chase your dreams. The last phase of the recording process is adding background vocals, mixing and mastering. This is the phase we are entering now. Thrilled to see this evolve. More to come!
Spent the afternoon today recording songs for my children’s book. The process is coming along. The music process has taken me a little more me time, but I promise it will be worth it in the end. I think readers will be pleased. My goals are to create something fun for everyone to sing too and at the same time send out a powerful encouraging message. I know the process of writing music can take time, or come quickly, you never know exactly how things are going to evolve and how fast you will write day to day. Excited to see it all come together. Songs that will be featured in the book are: Put On A Hat, Dream A Dream, and Reach For The Stars. More details to come!!
